Building on its existing range of Technical Insulation and fire protection materials, Knauf Insulation has extended its product portfolio to offer an even wider choice of solutions for industrial and HVAC applications.
Key additions include two ranges of pre-formed, non-flammable pipe sections made from rock mineral wool. Achieving the highest fire rating possible, the pipe sections are slit down one side for easy application to pipes and the HVAC sections are pre-covered with glass-fibre reinforced aluminium foil. The products are perfect for applications such as chemical plants, industrial facilities and heating pipework.
Knauf Insulation’s Wired Mat range has also been updated and extended to include products capable of withstanding temperatures up to 680°C. These rock mineral wool mats are supplied with galvanized steel mesh and stitched with galvanized steel wire. The mesh makes for a firm but flexible insulation mattress, able to withstand high continuous operating temperatures.
Another durable addition to the product portfolio is the new range of High Temperature Boards. These non-combustible rock mineral wool boards are designed to resist high temperatures, providing thermal and acoustic performance for applications with high operating temperatures up to 700°C.
Specialist boards for tanks are also now available in the wider portfolio. Knauf Insulation’s Tank Wall Board 035 and Tank Roof Board 040 are both non-combustible rock mineral wool boards that provide excellent thermal and acoustic performance – while the Tank Roof Board 040 also benefits from high compressive strength, an essential attribute for areas such as walk-on tank roofing applications.
