Wirral based heating and maintenance company Alan D Scoffield Heating Ltd, will be utilising Fernox Protector F1 and Cleaner F3 to commission new heating systems installed under the Eco Affordable Warmth scheme, to ensure they benefit from long-term efficiency. In addition, the company has fitted its showroom with a working boiler and Fernox TF1 Total Filter – to demonstrate to potential customers the added value benefits of filter technology.

Established for over forty years, Alan D Scoffield Heating Ltd has built an excellent reputation for quality, craftsmanship and service. Covering Cheshire and North Wales, the company specialises in the installation and maintenance of domestic heating systems, including warm air, LPG and underfloor heating.

Under the Government’s recently launched Energy Companies Obligation (ECO), which runs alongside the Green Deal, Alan D Scoffield Heating Ltd will have funds provided by major energy companies, to cover the cost of free boilers. .

When installing any new boiler, the team will be adhering to best practice procedures by pre-commissioning using Fernox Cleaner F3 to remove any sludge, limescale and other debris and Fernox Protector F1 to prevent future corrosion. When used in conjunction to clean and protect a previously dirty system, these products can achieve up to 15% gas savings.

Moreover, the team will be actively encouraging customers to opt for a Fernox TF1 Total Filter to protect the eco boilers; for properties where there’s limited space around the boiler – they will install a TF1 Compact. The Fernox TF1 Total Filter and the TF1 Compact both remove magnetic and non-magnetic contaminants from central heating systems. The TF1 Compact is 30% shorter than the standard unit and provides an alternative choice for installations where access or space is an issue, without compromising on performance.

Alan D Scoffield commented: “We have been using Fernox products for a number of years due to their reliability and high performance levels compared to other products on the market. With our Eco Affordable Warmth installations due to start in the coming weeks we plan to continue using Fernox products as part of our planned and reactive service. Furthermore, we’ll be utilising the Fernox filter range to ensure the highest levels of energy efficiency are maintained.”
