Sentinel's SystemCare wins Training Initiative of the Year Award

SystemCare, a free service and maintenance initiative from leading water treatment specialist Sentinel, has been named as the Training Initiative of the Year at the AGSM (Association of Gas Safety Managers) Supplier Excellence Awards 2015. At a glittering ceremony staged at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull, industry judges deemed SystemCare as the clear winner in a toughly fought category, highlighting the initiative’s ability to ensure best practice water treatment amongst housing associations and installers.

Excellence in training lies at the heart of every great product or service, and SystemCare has been proven to promote peak heating system performance. Customers receive one-to-one bespoke training (comprising product specifications, method statements and training programmes), quality assurance testing and ongoing support from Sentinel’s engineers. Importantly, SystemCare can play a key role in maintaining the energy rating awarded to boilers and heating system components as part of the recently introduced ErP (Energy related Products) directive.

“We’ve been offering SystemCare for approximately 12 months and take-up has been high,” says Jane Cawsey, Area Sales Executive at Sentinel Performance Solutions. “There’s nothing else like it being offered by our competitors and this award reflects the investment made by Sentinel to make a difference in the marketplace. It means a great deal to everyone who has been involved with making SystemCare a resounding success.”

SystemCare helped one housing association to reduce heating system maintenance costs at 13,000 homes to almost zero, in the process saving thousands of pounds and agreeing extended warranties with system suppliers. Another housing association has been able to improve heating system water treatment pass rates to 90-95%, subsequently reducing boiler breakdowns dramatically.

The awards, which were hosted by TV comedian Gary Delaney, celebrate excellence, innovation and collaboration by AGSM suppliers. Dan Wilson, National Key Account Manager, collected the Training Initiative of the Year Award (sponsored by Grundfos) for Sentinel Performance Solutions.
