The first national, hands-on, plumbing and heating exhibition, Installer2015, took place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry this month. Aimed squarely at heating engineers and plumbers, the show featured over 70 manufacturers, many of whom encouraged visitors to test their practical skills in a number of interactive challenges featuring exhibitors’ latest products.
Saniflo was pleased to support the inaugural show and to display a range of ground breaking products for the plumbing sector. Taking centre stage on the stand was the Sanicubic XL, the latest and largest lifting station in Saniflo’s comprehensive macerator line-up. The unit has successfully been retailed in to a number of commercial applications this year, including a gym, a power station, a frozen food store and many restaurants and cafes. In each case the XL is discharging waste from multiple appliances in bathrooms and kitchens thanks to its huge processing capability of 40 litres/min. This enables architects, specifiers and plumbers to convert spaces into large facilities previously thought impossible because of inaccessible drainage.
The Kinemagic Serenity is one of a range of Kinedo shower cubicles designed and manufactured by Saniflo. Installed without silicone or grout, thanks to its integrated interior and exterior panels which sit over a pre-formed shower tray to complete a leak free shower solution, the Kinemagic is designed to fit into the space of a standard UK bath – ideal for couples looking for an efficient bath replacement.
The Saniaccess macerator – with its two removable top panels - was the interactive element on Saniflo’s stand with plumbers simulating a service with the easy-access unit. The winner dismantled the unit in just 30 seconds – highlighting just how simple this unit is to service and maintain.
According to Colin Bland, Saniflo’s stand manager and Northern Area Sales Manager, the show was a resounding success. The 1 st day proved exceptionally busy with a number of significant high quality leads taken whilst day 2 - with its late opening - encouraged workers to drop in at the end of the day with no loss to their income – a great idea for the tradespeople which brought a late flurry of activity. The last day attracted plumbing students from colleges – a sector that Saniflo works closely with to encourage the next generation of plumbers.
“All in all this was a very good first show. We certainly now have a lot of high quality leads to follow up and the feedback from installers was that it’s a good, relevant event. I am sure that more plumbing and heating firms will follow our lead and participate next year.”
