Martin Furminger has been working in the plumbing and heating industry for over 30 years and is currently a joint director at Chris Hatcher & Son. The company regularly uses a combination of Fernox Cleaner F3, Protector F1 and products from the TF1 Filter range to help restore efficiency in the central heating systems the teams work on – and to provide long-term protection and reliability.
Since the company was established in 2000, with the office based in Seaford, Chris Hatcher & Son has strived to provide an excellent 24-hour emergency service for customers within East and West Sussex, parts of Kent and Surrey. The company specialises in the installation of boilers, general plumbing, heating and maintenance, whether that is for boilers or appliances such as fires, cookers and water heaters.
“We’ve been using Fernox cleaners, inhibitors and the company’s TF1 filters for many years,” commented Martin Furminger. “I can even remember using Fernox Protector MB-1 prior to establishing Chris Hatcher & Son, so that was over 15 years ago now.”
Today, Chris Hatcher & Son regularly uses Fernox Cleaner F3 and Protector F1, which when used together, can achieve gas savings of up to 15% every time a room is heated up. In addition, the teams also use Fernox DS40 System Cleaner for best results when combating specific issues of limescale formation, as well as sludge in contaminated central heating systems to improve circulation and restore efficiency.
Martin also regularly uses the Fernox TF1 Total Filter. However in properties where space is restricted around the boiler he installs a TF1 Compact Filter, which is 30% shorter than the standard sized TF1 Total Filter, and provides a practical solution to installing filters in smaller areas.
It is critical to use a combination of Fernox cleaner, inhibitor and filter products to help central heating systems to work efficiently for the long-term, and so customers can be reassured knowing that the winter months will be spent in the comfort of a warm home - thanks to a reliable central heating system.
Martin concluded: “Most of my customers are primarily concerned with dependability. Everyone wants to save money on their heating bills, but they particularly don’t want the hassle of an unexpected breakdown in the future. This is why we opt to use Fernox products; it’s a respected brand, trustworthy, and its customer service is second to none. We have a great rapport with the Fernox team who’ll often pop in and keep us updated with any new legislation or products, so they really do provide added value for a professional installer.”
