The Danfoss family of thermostatic radiator valves (TRV) has a new addition with the launch of the RTW bi-directional TRV with built-in sensor. Combining Danfoss’ market-beating reliability and functionality with a competitive price, the new RTW offers a truly cost-effective solution for general domestic heating installations.
The new RTW sensor features Danfoss’ accurate liquid-filled sensor, which reacts quickly to changes in room temperature, and a positive shut-off position. RTW also benefits from Danfoss’ flow selectable, bi-directional design which means it can be installed horizontally or vertically, in flow or return. This flexibility provides an innovative solution to the age-old problem of ‘water hammer’. If any system noise occurs after fitting it can be stopped by simply ‘revolving’ the barrel to reverse the flow direction, reducing costly call-backs. Quick and easy installation is also part of the RTW’s cutting-edge design – the sensor can be mounted in minutes using a standard spanner.
The Danfoss RTW offers an economical TRV from a world-class manufacturer. The new range is supplied in convenient Combi Packs complete with Sensor and valve. It comes in a choice of 10mm and 15mm reversible angle versions to suit most applications and is backed by Danfoss’ 2-year warranty.
The RTW Bi-directional TRV with built-in sensors is the latest product to join Danfoss’ comprehensive range of TRV solutions. Other options include the RAS-D2, a top-of-the-range TRV for high-end domestic installations, and the well-established RAS-C2, developed by Danfoss to suit both the domestic and contract markets.
