Jewson case study March 2014 Collating the information required to launch an electronic product catalogue can be a daunting task. Manufacturers and suppliers use differing formats and standards for their product information, however the merchants need to be able to retrieve the full scope of information about their building materials from a single source and with minimal effort.

Jewson wanted a solution where all data received could be restructured into a managed database and published in a standard format regardless of its original configuration.

Jewson, part of the Saint-Gobain brand, is a name synonymous with construction in the UK. Jewson sits within the same Saint-Gobain trading group as Gibbs and Dandy, Minster and Graham and is responsible for managing the data for all four brands.

This case study explores how Jewson found this solution in e-Xact Online.
